Allendale, Mich. - Grand Valley State first-year head swimming and diving coach, Andy Boyce, announced the signing of nine student-athletes to attend and compete for Grand Valley State beginning in the fall of 2008. Boyce was named head coach of the Laker swimming & diving program on May 4, 2008.

Karen Verbrugge (Forest Hills Central) and Rachel Strom (Forest Hills Northern) will compete in diving, while Toni Musto (Forest Hills Northern), Corina Hinterman (Midland Dow) and Kaitlin Myszkowski (Mercy) will compete in swimming events for the Lakers.

Verbrugge claimed the DII Diving State Championship during her senior campaign, while Strom placed third in the DI Diving State Championship meet. Musto and Hinterman both specialize in the breaststroke and individual medley events, while Myszkowski is a freestyle swimmer.

Jeremy Sall (Zeeland West), Aaron Beebe (Grand Haven) and Tyle Kalinosky (Mattawan) will compete in the swimming events, while Johnny Sanchez (Holland) will compete as a diver. Sall won a DII State Championship in the 100 butterfly and will compete in the butterly, backstroke and freestyle, while Beebe will swim the butterfly eventsw. Kalinosky is a distance freestyler and Sanchez won the DII State Championship in diving in 2007.
