New London, N.C. - Grand Valley State fired an opening round 337 during action at the Lady Falcon Invitational in New London, N.C. Monday and enter round two T-6th. The second and final round will be played Tuesday. West Florida led the way after the first round with a 325, followed by Pfeiffer (328), Newberry (329), USC-Upstate (334) and Catawba (336).

Caitlin Duval carded an opening round 83 (44-39), which tied her for 15th, while Caitlin Bennett is tied for 19th after shooting and 84 (44- 40). Only the top 20 scored were posted.
