GVSU Men Place Nine Student-Athletes on DII All-Academic Team

Grand Valley State placed nine student-athletes on the 2007 USTFCCCA Division II Men's All-Academic Track and Field Team. The Lakers tied with Adams State College for the most student-athletes on the team. The team was compiled of 106 athletes from 38 Division II colleges and universities.

The USTFCCCA honors Division II individuals for their academic and athletic achievements during the indoor and outdoor track season.To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, one must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.25 and obtain an NCAA automatic or provisional qualifying mark for the most recent indoor and/or outdoor championships in their respective event.

The following Lakers earned all-american honors: Casey Fechter, Chris Hammer, Curtis Barclay, Garron Lucius, Grant Fall, John Collins, Nate Peck, Robbie Young, and Scott Levering.
