Results

Grand Valley State tallied a two day score of 616 to win the Outback Steakhouse Invite hosted by the University of Findlay. The Lakers shot a 305 on Sunday, followed by a 311 on Monday. GVSU will play in the Great Lakes Region Invitational #3 in Alton, Ill. on April 21-22.

Junior Josh Orler won the invitational with a two day total of 147. He fired a 72 on Sunday and a 75 on Monday to claim the individual title. Senior Steve Larson tied for fifth place after posting a 153 (76, 77) and sophomore Matt Johnson recorded a 78 and a 79 for a two day total of 157. Freshmen Matt Malloure (79, 84) and Danny Vaughan (83, 80) both tied for 35th place with a 163.

Three Lakers also competed as individuals. Junior Tony Mango placed 34th with a 162 (82, 80), freshman Jamie Clark tied for 50th after shooting a 167 (80, 87), and senior Kyle Murphy finished in 52nd with a score of 168 (86, 82).
