Earned all-conference and all-region honors as a freshman and sophomore...Named junior college regional pitcher of the year as a freshman...Turned in an 8-2 mark as a freshman with a 1.4 ERA in 73 innings...Was 3-2 as a sophomore with a 2.2 ERA.

Prepped at Grand Ledge High School under head coach Pat O'Keefe...Hit .540 with five HR and turned in a 6-1 pitching mark with a 2.3 ERA as a senior...Earned all-conference, all-region and all-state honors as a senior.
